Continuous Casting Machine (CCM) is vital metallurgical equipment that transforms molten steel into solid semi‑finished products such as billets, blooms, slabs and round billets. It connects steelmaking and hot‑rolling, replacing old ingot casting to boost output, improve steel quality and cut production costs.

How Does a CCM Work?
Molten steel flows from ladle to tundish for impurity removal and flow stabilization. It then enters the water‑cooled copper mold for initial solidification to form a steel strand with liquid core inside.
Guided by tension levelers, the strand moves continuously. Secondary water‑spray cooling completes full solidification. Finally, the strand is cut to fixed lengths and sent for rolling. The whole process runs automatically without repeated reheating.
