In fact, there is quite a bit of relevant knowledge about rolling mills. Today, we are still going to share with you the existing problems in rolling mills and the problems that need to be solved promptly. For example, during the operation of the rolling mill, when encountering issues such as acceleration, start-up, and deceleration, if the tension fluctuates significantly, how should we handle and resolve it?
If such problems occur during the operation of the rolling mill, it is mainly due to friction and speed, which can also lead to changes in other technical parameters. The main manifestations include the following:
The friction coefficient of rolling decreases as the speed increases, leading to a reduction in the overall rolling force.
When the speed is increased, it causes an increase in the oil film thickness of the rolling mill's roll system bearings, resulting in the reduction of the roll gap.
Therefore, when decelerating or accelerating the rolling mill, it is advisable to appropriately raise the roll gap or add tension appropriately. Of course, adjusting the speed of elevation and descent is also possible. Here are two reminders:
Firstly, the amount of raising the roll gap should be adjusted based on the performance of the rolled steel strip, the reduction rate of passes, technical conditions, etc. It is important not to blindly and arbitrarily adjust the rolling mill.
