In the operation of the automatic rolling mill during the steel billet rolling process, the hole type design and rolling speed are pre-set, and the performance of the rolls, guides, and liners is generally good. Wear on the guides typically occurs at the entrance and exit, and corresponding improvements have been made based on the actual needs of the rolling production.
The automatic rolling mill is not entirely without manual intervention; the rolling production line requires constant monitoring by operators at the control console. The conveyor rollers and shearing machine located in the automatic rolling mill must be strictly controlled during operation to avoid steel piling or jamming. Rolls and guides must be replaced if wear exceeds the specified limits.
The alloy guides in the rolling mill have a relatively long service life, mainly because the rolling mill operating speed can be adjusted based on the actual rolling conditions, and the normal speed of rolling and shearing machines is around 98%.
The rolling of steel billets subjects the rolls to instantaneous compression, and the bearings bear corresponding pressure, affecting the product specifications of the rolled steel. Further improvements may be needed, but the ultimate goal is to obtain more advanced rolling mill equipment.
The automatic rolling mill is currently widely used in the steel rolling industry. Due to the influence of trial production on the steel rolling and conveying systems, the rolling efficiency of the rolling system has gradually increased.
