Structural Characteristics of the Rolling Mill
The rolling mill utilizes power provided by the electric motor, distributing power through the gearbox, to roll the heated steel billets or sections fixed inside the rolling mill, generating squeezing and rolling effects during high-speed rotation of the rolls. Main structure: a central shaft fixed in the flywheel assembly driven by the electric motor, and the central shaft is connected to the reducer through a coupling. Even when the rolling mill is powered off, it can continue to operate for a certain period based on inertia.
Rolling Mill Process
Convey the rolls to be evenly and continuously fed into the rolling mill from the heating furnace for rough rolling. The rolled sections after rough rolling enter the next pass along the roll path and are discharged as finished products after rough rolling K1. Enter the cooling bed for natural cooling or use a blower for air cooling.
The sections in the heating furnace have a certain amount of scale, and the dust generated during rolling causes increased wear on the rolls. Moreover, the sealing at the joints of various components of the rolling mill is not tight, allowing external dust to be drawn in, further increasing the degree of wear. To address this, environmental improvements in the rolling mill workshop and the addition of dust removal equipment are implemented to achieve a balance. The gas containing dust is directed into a bag filter for removal.
