Straightening Machine

The straightening machine in a hot rolling mill, known as a straightener, is a vital component that corrects any distortions or deformities in the metal strips or sheets produced during the hot rolling process. It ensures the final product meets stringent quality standards by straightening and aligning the material, contributing to improved mechanical properties and dimensional accuracy. The straightening process is crucial for enhancing the overall quality and functionality of hot-rolled metal products.

The primary process of the straightening machine is as follows: Molten steel flows out from the ladle, entering the tundish first and then the crystallizer. The crystallizer’s slab rollers move downward along an arc, cooled by water spray during the arc motion until fully or partially solidified. The material is then poured into the machine after reaching the horizontal cutting point and subsequently cut into billets based on dimensions.
